Generally really unclever and unoriginal. And not actually edgy, given that lack of concern about sexual violence is pretty much the dominant cultural narrative. Exactly. Also, Donald Glover argued for the need to say “mong” and “retarded” because sometimes you just… NEED to. And that matters more than hurting a marginalised and stigmatised group even further, obvs. Can’t read interviews w/him anymore in case I start hating Community by association.
